Yes, for many people. Depression is often a pattern of unconscious processing, not a fixed state. Hypnotherapy works directly with that processing layer. It is not a replacement for medical care if you are experiencing severe depression or are under psychiatric treatment. Helen will be clear at the consultation about what is and isn't appropriate for your situation.
Yes. Hypnotherapy works alongside medication, not instead of it. Helen works with many clients who are on antidepressants or anti-anxiety medication. Do not change or stop medication without talking to your prescribing doctor.
For stress and mood work, 4 to 6 sessions is common. Some people see significant shifts in 2 to 3. If there is significant underlying history or complexity, more sessions may be needed. Helen gives an honest assessment at the first consultation, not an open-ended commitment.
